Aloft Santa Clara Unveils Multimillion

The Aloft Santa Clara, part of the America Center complex in San Jose, Calif., has completed a propertywide renovation that includes the hotel's 175 guest rooms, public space and meeting rooms. New furniture, carpeting, paint, wall coverings, window treatments, signage and upgraded technology can be found throughout the building.

The high-ceilinged, loft-inspired guest rooms feature a blue and grey color palette, with new grey vinyl wallpaper complemented by blue accent walls and leather furnishings. New custom artwork is meant to provide a modern, Silicon Valley–influenced feel, and new benches with pink pillows and wooden desks with pink fabric chairs add some contrasting flair to the look. Guest bathrooms now have oversized spa showers with Drybar bath products.

Renovations to the lobby, Re:mix lounge, Recharge gym and outdoor Splash pool reflect the new design and palette of the rooms, and the lobby and lounge now offer seating in a more open layout.

The lobby-level W XYZ bar, which serves as the social hub of the hotel, has been redesigned with new woodwork, games, and an updated menu of shareable plates and drinks. Local emerging musicians are spotlighted here for the Live at Aloft Hotels series; just outside, the adjoining patio offers lounge seating and a fireplace. A 24/7 grab-and-go shop called Re:fuel is also in the lobby area.

The hotel, which is about a five-minute drive from the Santa Clara Convention Center and about 20 minutes from the San Jose Convention Center, has 3,890 square feet of its own meeting space across five newly refreshed meeting rooms and an outdoor deck. Each of the event spaces has been outfitted with new A/V equipment, plasma TVs, and new carpeting and window treatments allowing for more natural light.
